Default Loose cam bolts with 13.5k!!

Hey guys, first thread and 2nd post. I've been a looker and spectator but wanted to share my find with you guys. My Tach wasn't working and my check engine light was on. Did tons of searching on here and what not. Replaced the cam sensor, still didn't work. Turns out the cam bolts were loose with 13.5K mi! Just putting this post up to help anyone who might have this problem.

That sucks, I'm assuming it's a gmmg cam? It should have been torqued correctly and loctited... You caught it early, that coulda been bad, like entire longblock destroyed bad...

no it was a gm stock ls1 cam. my car is a phase I so the cam was untouched. I've read it before somewhere of this happening that the gm torque spec isn't tight enough or something, and yeah your right if they loosend up anymore I would've been screwed.
