belt squeek

I have a 2010 SS camaro 6.2l with 10k miles and just recently one of the belts started to squeek. I can spray it with belt spray and right away it lets up at idle but once I get going it squeeks till it's warmed up. Could I need a new belt? The one on there doesn't look damaged at all. And it's a brand new car I bought it will 200 miles on it.

why don't you take it back and let them check it, it will be free because you should have a warranty.

probably your tensioner. GM refuses to make one that doesnt make noise it seems.

dont spray any more lube on there if youre going to warranty it. dealers can be a PITA lately.

Ultimate what's that tensioner everyone is getting starts with a K doesn't it?

I have a 6.2 L92. Tensioner squealed like a pig. Lots of shimming with 1/64 shims on the Kwik AC bracket.

I swear if it was a hair off, it squealed.

Finally after getting squeal to a minimum with shimming, put on a 1/2" shorter belt and its gone, for now....

update I took it to the chevy house and they're over nighting a new "upgraded" belt so I guess GM is tryin to fix the squeeking issue by making a better belt but we shall see. I get it put on today and will let you guys know if the squeeks gone.
