Default Hesitation/Stumble when cold

I need some help. '02 WS6 H/C lts/ory. My car is hesitating/stumbling when it is cold. When trying to accelerate it stumbles around for a few seconds, then clears up until you let off. This started when the weather cooled off. It only does this when it is cold, after it gets up to operating temp it stops. Happens in any gear.

I do get intermittent O2 codes set. I changed the O2 with Bosch 13111s back in September. Do these sensors take longer to heat up?

Thanks for any help.

Bosch are garbage and WILL NOT work in all of our LSx cars......period. Some people get lucky. Bosch 02 sensors will not allow my engine to run...it spits, backfires, coughs and will barely stay alive, the second you touch the pedal it stalls. I pull those out, put Densos or AC Delcos in.....INSTANT PERFECTION. Our PCM's do not all act the same.

Take those things back and get a refund....tell them that have been throwing codes since you bought them. They will give your money back if you tell them that THEY are defective and you confirmed it when you put two new ones in.

Go to www.rockauto.com and buy Denso sensors for $38.00 each. #2344087. Or at a Bennet Auto if you have them near you. Best 02 sensor you can buy. If you go the dealership to buy 02 sensors you will pay upwards of $180 each....and you will get Densos in the box.

However...........if it runs good AFTER it reaches operating temp....it could be as simple as a dirty MAF. The MAF runs the engine while its cold.......

But if your intake is leaking you will have a higher than normal idle.

What O2 codes. They are probably a symptom of the stumble rather than the cause. You are probably going lean for some reason, which causes O2 sensors to report a problem.

I don't recall the numbers off hand, but they were: insufficient switching and no activity detected. They don't show up consistently.

I changed the fuel filter, new tr55 plugs and cleaned the maf. That didn't help.

With the denso #2344087 and long tube headers would I need o2 extensions as well or are the tails long enough?

I have LT's and those Densos are plenty long for me. The passengers side on mine has alot of extra that I zip-tie to the frame.

The drivers side I am able to run it on the outside of the heat shield, which is great, and I still have a little extra that does not need to be zip tied. Unscrew that drivers side heat shield, plug it up, then screw it back on while holding the wire on the outside.

And I;m just talking about 02 sensors up front at the collectors, my rears are deleted.

Cool thx for the info. I ordered them days ago and still waiting for them to arrive. Hopefully today so I can get them on before work on monday.

Update: With the 2344087 Denso's I am over a foot short on both sides on the harness and need extensions.
