Why does my car do this!!??
Why does my car do this!!?? So my car is a 99 A4 4l60e TA with a yank SS3600, 3.42 gears, bolt ons, tuned by frost. etc..
The other day i was in traffic and moving slowly maybe 20 mph then i stepped on it to switch lanes quickly and my car climbed rpms to above 5000 rpms before it hooked. I now notice it happens at various speeds whenever i floor it or step on it hard sometimes i let off because it climbs to high and not pulling.. I thought at first my tranny could be gone but it is still shifting 1..2..3..4 on D very well and solid. Im scarred it might be something big. Could this be because of my yank SS3600???
I dont really step on it when im driving so i dont know how long this could of been going on for. Oh also, i havent replaced my spark plugs in a while, ive been waiting to replace my mids for longtubes to do it. Tranny has about 15k on rebuild and 3k on stall. Oil looks and smells fine.

If I were you I'd have that converter checked....STOP driving it. About 8 years ago I had a 3 month old converter (VIG 3700) start doing that ****, I kept driving it for a day or too trying to figure out what it was.
Cruising steady at 45 mph the sumbitch literally came apart inside and disintegrated......and it took out my 4 month old BRAND NEW FLP IV tranny.
