Default lt fuel pump

Hey guys looking for some advice on the best way to do a fuel pump in a 93 ta. I am trying to avoid dropping the rear end if at all possible. My idea was to go from the top cutting away the sheet metal and re sealing when done. Just wondering if anyone has done this before and has some tips or tricks. Any help is much appreciated!
