Default Fuel Filter Change (Urgent)

So I was swapping out the fuel filter and I am having trouble with the nut on the fuel line which attached to the fuel filter. Is the bolt suppose to secure 100% with NO thread showing? I am able to screw it in just fine by hand, but there is a point where it just seems like its not catching the thread properly. I have unscrewed and rescrewed the nut to the filter several times and it keeps catching on something. I should have remembered how it looked before I removed it.

Does that nut on the fuel line attach 100% to the fuel filter? If not, I have no clue why it is constantly not catching with the thread.

Maybe a production flaw in the filter? Snug it up and then run the car, checking for leaks. If it doesn't, you should be alright...

I have maybe three lines of thread on the nut visible. I started the car and repeatedly turned if from OFF to ON to prime to fuel lines and I didn't see any leaks. Should I get a replacement filter or should I be fine?

To be honest on the hundreds of filters I have changed I have never had the nut thread all the way into the filter just snug it up good and remember its a flare fitting it doesnt need to be chuck norris tight just prime it check for leaks if no leaks then start it up check for leaks if no leaks you should be good!!!

Good luck man, and I'd randomly check for leaks within the next day or so...
