Default Emergency Brake

I was wondering if anyone knew how to tighten up the emergency brake. I have to pull mine all the way up and it seems like it only holds on the last click or whatever. Thanks in advance

This is a common issue after rotors are changed out. The bore can be slightly different and the brake needs to be adjusted for that. The first link below has generic info on the system and the second link has a diagram of the components in one of the threads:
- https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspensio...-assembly.html

This thread has a procedure for doing the adjustment. Its a total PITA and needs to be done twice at each wheel, with the tire and disk brake caliper off:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspensio...ightening.html

The write up in the thread above isn't the greatest, so please feel free to post back if it isn't clear.

Mine is getting a little out of wack too. Good post..........

Too bad that old myth about going in reverse about 10mph and hitting the brakes real hard to make them work again doesn't really work........ lol

It does with drum brakes that are designed to wear. That's how they adjust as the pads wear down. Since the parking brake pads don't wear down, (assuming you aren't drifting with the car) they have a different type of mechanism that doesn't self-adjust.
