Iac question

my car is a 99 T/a and im having trouble with my iac...looking on ebay i see that there are 2 different models of an iac 98-99 and a 2000-2002...
whats up with that?
the one for 00+ is 30 bucks
the cheapest one for my car is 80 lol

i thought they were both ls1? i mean i know 01+ had ls6 intake but can i get away with going cheap?
