Default Tick on fuel rail

I have a tick coming from the driver side fuel rail its a black cylinder looking thing. Is it normal or do I need to replace it? Im not at home so I cant take pics Im gonna do a search and see if I can find one.

It's a stupid emissions device. I broke the nipple off of mine several years ago, and it was about $18.00 from the dealership.

Its your evap purge solenoid. It can be deleted but you would have to get it tuned out of the pcm so it doenst throw a ses light. I just got rid of it on my other pontiac because I had a pesky vaccum leak I couldnt track down. If your not throwing a ses light for it, I would just leave it alone, but if you are and want to replace the solenoid I think its about 25 bucks at any auto parts store
