Default Which Batt to get?

Well I noticed my stock battery is about to go seeing how the "eye" is now black. What would be a good replacement and where would be the best/cheapest place to get it?

I had to replace my AC Delco battery today. The eye was black & car wouldn't start. I went to Auto Zone & bought their Dura Gold 75-DG. It has 720 Cold Cranking Amps, opposed to 650 cold cranking amps that the AC Delco battery had. With tax and everything it was $81.

They also sold the Optima battery for my car but it was $110, but did have 900 Cold Cranking Amps. I'm happy with a slightly better battery than the stock one. Fred

My took a dump on me when I still was under warrenty. Lucky me I took it in to the dealer and they claimed it as a defective battery and gave me a new one. It has been holding strong so far. If I wasn't still under warrenty I was going to go with the yellow top optima.

Hmm anyone know of a good place to pick a optima red top for a fair price. I don't need one ASAP, so I don't mind ordering. I'm gonna have to check a few sites.

Default Optima Red Top

Just purchased an Optima Red Top at Costco for my 2002 Firehawk. Group size 75/35, part # DT75, cost 99.99 plus tax. Checked out Autozone and a few others, all were at least $10.00-15.00 more.

Data for inquiring minds:

Red Top- CCA 720 amps, MCA 910 amps, weight 33.1 lbs, fits OEM battery area/hold down connection.

Yellow Top- CCA 750 amps, MCA 870 amps, weight 43.8 lbs. does not fit all OEM battery area/hold down connection- adapters required.
