Default Car Vibrations 55+mph

Hey everyone having a slight issue that I'm getting tired of dealing with. Car seems to vibrate at any speeds above 55 its hardly noticeable under that. I've had it for a while just been ignoring it though. I have a strange DS and poly tranny mount. I've had this vibration ever since before I even broke my car on the dyno. I know that when the mechanic replaced the DS he said that the yoke that was on the car was for a stock u joint but the one that came with the DS was a 1350 so he said he shaved a small amount of the yoke on each side so the DS could fit. It seems like a tight fit so I don't think this could be the problem but I don't know. Could it be like a wheel bearing or maybe the stock panhard bar is causing the rear to be un centered causing the vibration? Car is lowered with eibach springs about 1.5" on bilstein shocks. I've checked the bushings on the rear and they seemed fine so I'm stumped. Any ideas on what could be the culprit?

First off, I have never heard of anyone shaving a driveshaft to make a u-joint fit, If you could give a lil more info on that it may be the problem. second dont overlook the simple things, One tire that is out of balance can cause exactly the problem you are having.

It's probably a tire out of balance since it happens above 55 mph. It could also be bad tie rods, I had that problem with my previous car.

What he shaved was the yoke that goes on the rear not the driveshaft. The driveshaft came with a 1350 u joint which doesn't fit the stock yoke. And I feel the vibration in the seat so seems like its coming from the rear its mostly noticeable at above 65:

they make u-joints that fit the 1350 and stock ds all in one . I used one when I installed my 9" with a factory ds.

I have an aftermarket drive shaft that came strange I believe but it had a 1350 u joint on it so the yoke was modded to make it fit.

Well at this point wouldn't it be best to change the yoke since mine has been messed with? But I still doubt this is the solution to my problem.

Well I've looked over the suspension and I don't see any shot bushings or bent parts or anything of that sort.

I only notice wheels bearings when I'm turning.. I think I have a blown front drivers side. Does yours get worse if you keep you speed constant and go into a turn?

I think if it was a wheel bearing the added force usually makes the sound increase and change pitch. Alignment?

Well the vibration I feel is more of in shifter and seat not steering so I doubt alignment matters but I just recently aligned the car. It does it even if its in gear or in neutral but going at around 60 or higher I feel it.

Have you had the tires balanced like I mentioned at the beginning? That's the number one source of vibration at highway speeds.

I will get them balanced tomorrow to be sure but I've got them balanced before n it didn't solve the issue but willing to give it a shot.

Make sure you get them road force balanced, that's the only way to go if you want them perfect.
