Default Left turn signal doesn't work

-Flashers work, all bulbs flash except the one bulb I can't get to come on (left tailight, furthest on right).
-I've replaced this bulb with a new one, and I even put in a new universal GM socket & the damn bulb still won't light up. My old socket looked fine too.
-My right turn signal works.
-The green left blinker light on the instrument cluster stays solid.

Shouldn't be the turn signal flasher, because the right side works. But every bulb except for this one will light up & work properly.

Ideas???

When this happens, what is going on with the light on the left rear. Is it solid or is it blinking? What happens to the lights when your hazards are on? Do all bulbs flash?

If the rear light is solid and the bulbs all work correctly with the hazards on, then the problem is your flasher. (When the thermal flasher goes bad, it can behave differently on both sides of the car because the resistance in the left/right side wires is slightly different, which impacts the power getting to the flasher and making it flash.)

The other bulbs in the left rear stay solid when the left blinker is on. Those bulbs flash when the hazards are on. But at all times, even just with the brake lights that same bulb on the furthest right of the left tail does not work. When it was lit I got it to work for a bit, then that bulb quit working even after a new bulb & new socket, and it didn't light up anymore, and I'm not sure why I can't get it to.

The flasher is probably bad.

Hi,
the aforementioned sounds correct as to your problem area.i would go with the flasher. If this doesn't work use your voltmeter and check for continuity
and voltage.......good luck and have a blessed weekend.........jim

Try a new flasher. I had a problem with my TA that the hazards, DRLs and left turn signal all worked fine, but the right signal would stay on steady and not flash. I changed the flasher today to an EL12 electronic, and now it works perfect. I didn't think it was the flasher since the left signal worked, but it was.
