wheel bearing

on my DD '02 olds intrigue. I replaced a bad wheel bearing. I used the old elbow torque wrench. Now i hear squeeling comming from that side. Did i over torque it? And if i did can i retorque it and be fine?

it has only been about 4k miles BTW

No, torque shouldn't matter. Under torquing would be more of an issue only if the thing was falling off.

Are you sure the squeal is the bearing? Maybe a quiet bearing is now exposing a brake problem?

changed the brakes. Rotors and pads. Everything was great for a 1000 mile trip. Then after i got home a few days later the squeel started.

It sounds like an issue with brake sensor or installation problem..please check prior to operating your vehicle. Best of luck and have a blessed week....jim
