What is this weird hollow knocking sound?
Ive had this noise for a few years now. At first, it was barely noticeible. Now, its gotten louder.
At idle, its a hollow knocking sound that is consistent with the engine rpm. you cant hear it that much over 2k rpm. You can hear it better with your foot on the brake, and you cant hear it from the outside. Only when you accelerate from idle to about 2k rpm, you can hear it from the outside. you can feel the knock on the pedals though. Car has a yank ss3600 in it. Do you think it could be that? It doesent sound valve train related...

Can you tell at all where it is coming from? Intake, exhaust or internal engine? Our intakes seem to make a slightly weird noise I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about.

you should post a video that would help a lot. my guess is if your running the stock flexplate with a 3600 converter on an 02 your fp might be cracked. 01 and 02 have junk flexplates in them.
