starting problems
starting problems I'm having a starting problem after I drive my car. It fires up fine after sitting for a few days. Then once driven for a short distance around 8 or 10 miles and sitting for 1 hour and half it won't start. I have to get jump box out an hook it up and as I'm cranking I havef to hit the gas for it to start. Not sure what the problem is.
I relorcated battery to the hatch. I have the negative wire hooked up to frame,and positive wire ran to the starter and the alt. Ran to the red fuse post. and that wire ran to the starter.
not sure if the alt. has enough power to keep battery charged or I need a new battery. any help would be great thanks.

Im having the same issues right now. My battery is in the rear also. Mine after it gets hot wont crank. Mine when I try to crank it, the solenoid clicks and thats all it does. Im thinking maybe the wire going to the starter isnt big enough.
My battery is a brand new optima redtop. I think whenever i relocated my battery to the back. I kept the factory battery terminals. I think the wire going to the starter needs to be bigger.

I still can't figure this problem out. Traded in my red on a newer one. Bought a brand new starter. Installed a bigger ground to frame wire. Now it just clicks harder/louder but no turning over at all.
Very frustrated. I have never had any problems till now. And I can move battery up front. I installed a fuel tank for stand alone fuel system for nitrous.
