hello all:

my 2002 camaro's speedometer is broken. it only moves to 1/3 of my actual speed (if im going 60 it will show 20)


i have 4.10 gears - if that helps diagnose the problem...

my friend says it is likely a speed sensor?

can anyone help me with this issue?

 

yes you need to recalibrate your PCM if you've changed your gears .. your speedo is off.
get hp tuners or a mail order tune to get it fixed.

 

i forgot to add that my speedometer worked totally fine up until a couple months ago - that means my speedo must have been calibrated already huh?

 

Check for BCM codes.
