Default a/c "Shop" says

Compressor has no suction. (its bad) so youll need to get a compressor dryer and a orifice tube.

My compressor turns and stops at the pulley and blows air in the car.. Doesnt this mean that im getting suction.. or am I wrong in this statement..

The blower is in dash, your a/c and heater use the same blower.

My compressor went out as well last summer, i had to replace the same stuff... the clutch in the compressor is issue i'm sure.

Make damn sure you get another opinion from another shop.

And, if you know you're keeping your car for a very long time. Consider paying extra at the dealership, most of them give LIFETIME warranty on parts and labor.

Well, I paid right around $800.00, its allot, yes......but I will never pay for another A/C repair again. Not leaks, not low 134, not a blown compressor......nothing. I love that piece of mind, especially in hot *** South Florida. And I already cashed in on it...one day I was driving and the a/c started blowing warm. I drove directly to the dealer and they found a burnt wire that goes to the compressor. It would have been a couple hundred $$$ at least to fix....1 hour and I drove away FREE. But the a/c system itself is over 5 years old now from them, still perfect and ice cold.

Just too expensive of a component/system to just have a 90 warranty on remanned stuff.

Well, if you do want a remanned one.....that carries a 2 yr / 24,000 mile warranty....for $213.00......I would go with the Four Seasons brand from www.rockauto.com. Rock Auto is a top notch company for support and exchanges on warranties.

So you could be up and running for under $300.00 total.....and a decent warranty.
