i still have my original tensioner, i figured it was still good and the only reason i changed it was it was making noise. i greased it like it showed in a write up here. the part came from canada, so blame the canadians. lol

Just an update. I used the high shouldered gates pulley and is working fine so far. Many wot runs and shifts. No problem. Only thing I had to do was put a longer belt on. This was partly due to the larger pulley and also due to switching to a truck alternator at the same time. I had to switch from a 76inch belt to a 78inch belt.

Make sure you inspect that belt frequently though....the inside of that belt gets eaten up because every time you wack the throttle its gonna slam against that "wall" that keeps it on the pulley, and get worn. People with the Larry Pulleys always complained of the inside of the belts getting frayed.

Let us know in a couple months how your belt looks.
