Default Going insane over ticking tire....

You know when you get a rock or a screw stuck in the tread of one of your tires, the noise it makes? (tick, tick, tick, tick... etc) Usually the rock is dislodged or the screw pulled but this has been going on for about 3 months now and I'm goin farkin insane trying to figure it out. I've pulled the wheel off 3 times, searched it inch by inch but no rock, or even a peeble to be found. after that I suspected it to be something mechanical, so I swapped the wheel to my buddy's WS6. The noise persisted on his Trans Am aswell while my SS rolled smooth with his wheel. WTF. Again, no rocks, screws, chords, glass shards, nothing in the tread of this tire.
Hoping its something I simply overlooked. I anyone has had similar issue or suggestion, please chime in.

Do you have chrome wheels? There might be a strip of chrome that's flaking off inside the wheel and hitting the brake caliper.

I'd also suggest looking inside of the tire. Sometimes pebbles can get in there.
