After sitting for a few hours it will start and run for a few seconds and start to spit and sputter like its flooding out then die and when restarted it will start then immedietly die. im not sure if the cat is plugged or the maf is screwed up anyone had this problem before? If so what helped you? Thanks!

try unplugging the maf and seeing if it would run..

security light on? GM's will start then die when the security has been tripped... I see this all the time.
