squeaky ac From what i understand if the ac squeaks when it is off but stops when you turn it on the bearing is bad. However my ac compressor squeaks whether the ac is on or off so what needs to be replaced?

could be just the belt
my ac never made a peep up to 120k miles, then I removed the belt for about a week because my compressor died, and when I put everything back together it squeaked like craaaaaazy. I replaced the belt and it hasn't made a peep since.

it could be either one of the idler pullies, the tensioner or the belt. ive had to replace everything 3 times in 30k miles due to compressor blowouts. the clutch going out does not sound the same as pully squeak. and just because it squeaks when the a/c is on but doesnt when its off doesnt mean much. my a/c squeaks when it rains hard but only if its on, other than that its mostly quiet until everything dries up, then i dont hear anything from it
