Default fuel pressure drops after shutdown

I have a 98' Z28/auto which is 100% stock. Recently, I hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to check what the readings were. Upon startup, pressure came right up to the standard 60psi. However, when turning the car off, pressure dropped almost immediately to 0.

So what could cause this? Leaky injectors, or a bad regulator or pump? The fuel filter is new.

Thanks in advance

without the proper tools its hard to say,

good chance though it could be the fuel pressure regulator diaphragm leaking down.

You may want to check the motor oil in the car, if it has any smell of gas one for your injectors is bad.
