how do u tell if a fuse is bad.. you cant always tell if the peice if broken off

1. is the regulator inside the alternator on an LS1 car?
2. is there anything I can do to try and dry or repair it..?
3. how hard is it to change an alternator if I did **** it up?
Next time it happens all you have to do is drive around with your headlights on, fog lights on and A/C fans on high....rear window defroster too if you have it....that should keep the charging out of the red while its drying. It works for me.

The problem is over-charging, not bad engine performance. Spark plugs and coil packs have nothing to do with electrical charging performance. Also, even if he used a fire hose water would not get into a spark plug hole if the plug was on there properly.
I must be on something or some of the answers in this thread are just plain weird...
