misfiring like a mofo!! help?

Default misfiring like a ****!! help?

so my ac compressor died and i got a replacement and did the install my self. i had to remove the EGR to reach the rear bolts of the AC. I bolted everything back on and it was perfect. today i noticed LTs leak. am sure it is my egr since it leaked before and i fixed it. not worried. but i was driving around town and suddenly car started misfiring like crazy? and the leak got louder. could a bad\leaky egr cause misfiring? i am going to remove this thing as i have my LS6 intake sitting for a month now. problem is am sure it is leaking from the long tubes joint not the intake why does it misfire. is it my egr?? we have no emissions here, i have no idea why i didnt remove that silly thing when i got my LTs installed

Are you sure the car is misfiring, and what you are having is not just the result of a bad exhaust leak,,, First thing I would check is the spark plug wires,, If you are like me you have to remove them to work on the exhast, it is possible that you didnt get a few of them snapped on the plug and they may have wiggled loose causing problems.. Is the car throwing any codes??? If the EGR is leaking badly it will allow fresh air into the intake and cause all kinds of trouble, it could be what you are describing. I would definately remove the EGR system, but you will need to have it deleted in the PCM tune. When You put your headers on, use the GM MLS stock gaskets, I have never had them leak on me and they are re-usable. Even though you are running headers, torque them to the recc. specs and you will be good to go, unless you have a set of warped header flanges, then probably no matter what you do they will leak. When You swap your intake, Go ahead and make sure you have new oring gaskets on it, and dont break your oil pressure sending unit, Hope this helps some..

thanks for the reply. i checked all the wires everything is perfect, ive had the exhaust done 2 years ago with gm multilayer gasket and zero issues its deff the egr and am also aware of all you said. you kind of answered this by saying fresh air into the intake. but is tuning a must after egr removal? i heard it will cause no harm. am untuned so i have my ses all the time, cant tell if theres an issue. ill try to block the intake egr hole and see if it solves it since am a 100 miles away from home (am near my university now) and have no available tools nor the LS6 intake...

EDIT: and i also have all the EGR and AIR block off plates but as i said am out of town and this is the only car i have near me! ill block only the intake hole, if it solves it ill drive it home and let that thing leak

oh and it feels like car wanting to shut off but it wont, it will keep doing this. like theres not enough air going into the engine, but then when i rev it, its just fine. when the rpm drops it does the same thing again and shakes a bit.

ok i checked it again. the O ring of the egr hose that goes into the manifold gone bad, now it leaks VERY bad and car wouldnt even move, ses light flashes. think am gna do the ls6 intake swap in my apartment parking lot fml

im having the same issue but i have cel on all the time. egr is completely deleted but not from pcm. the mis fire is driving me crazy. looking for good bargain on ls6 intake. need some one to tune the egr and rear o2s out of the pcm. i have the predator tunner but dont know how to mess with it.
