Default check engine codes

I just got a 99 z28 m6 112k miles a couple weeks ago. Everything was running fine but now its over heating, we replaced the thermostat, air filter and filled it up with coolant. Then last night we drove it around and even got on it a little and it was fine, now its over heating again. The check engine code was p256 or p257 my friend has a computer, I don't remember which one it was but does anybody know what these mean?

Coolant properly burped and verified waterpump functionality? was the coolant all kinds of nasty when you replaced the t-stat?

Get it re-scanned at an auto parts store and come back with the correct codes, those don't make much sense in regard to over-heating problems.

Under 'generic' codes in my book a P0256 is "Injection Pump B Rotor/Cam Malfunction, a P0257 is "Injection Pump B Rotor/Cam Range/Performance."

The GM specfic codes start in P1 and a P1257 is "Boost Control Condition/Supercharge System Overload.

I don't think those codes you have are right.
