Default Overflow tank seems to be leaking

I have acquired a fairly steady drip from near where the overflow vent tube connects to the tank. I haven't pulled things apart yet, but if it's a seam/crack in the tank can it be fixed with some RTV/sealant or should I opt for finding a replacement tank?

mine did this too on my formula. It was because the battery wasn't tighten down all the way and was moving back and forth. so it snapped the top of the tank off. I replaced mine it took like 20 min's and u can get the part from auto zone cheap.

New overflow tanks are cheap and take 5 min to install. IMO - risking the repair with a short cut isn't worth it.
