YES....all of the "sensors" themselves are identical. The part numbers are different ONLY because of different wire lengths.

Any sensor will work in any position.

So......the answer is No. and I believe depending on the year some have a square plug and some have a flat plug.

Well not really, like he said the actual sensor is the same but the connections can vary. You need to get the correct part# for whatever car you have.

.......if we're talking LS1 engines.......factory exhaust ports........97-02 LSx......they are identical in every way.

I'll make it easy....measure how much length you need for whatever position you need a new sensor for......if 16" is long enough, including tucking it behind heat shields and/or keeping the wire away from anything hot, etc.....buy Denso #2344025. Done.

If you need more wire length, Bosch is an option, or wire extensions. I would go with extensions and use the Densos personally.

I used the vette o2s for my headers. The leads are really long. All I do is zip tie or wrap them up out of the way. They are fine.

fwiw i just bought 2 new sensors from rockauto,
denso 2344087 upstream right, denso 2344025 upstream left.
I forget which side had the longer wire length, but they replaced what was stock in terms of wire length exactly.
