My left headlight goes up and down 5 times before it stops in the up position. The right one catches on the hood and opens half way. Any ideas?

Stripped gears. Already done the "Free headlight fix" to the passenger side at the bottom of the page but replacing the gear is a more permanent fix >>>> http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/headl....htm#FreeGuide

There are also some other vendors who sell the gears if you google "trans am headlight fix" if you want the permanent fix ..

i had my headlight catch on the hood also, crushed the damn fiberglass too

i had to adjust the hood and the headlight away from eachother..probably only needed to adjust the headlight though.
