No.

This is a common issue with many modules in our car like the BCM, Radio Dislplay, etc. It wouldn't be surprising if a defrost module comes up with teh same issue. When solder joints crack connections will be made/broken when they expand/contract due to heat. The breakers are also heat sensitive.

I had the same problem years ago. The drivers power seat doesn't work either, until the breaker cools down and resets. I pulled the breaker and replaced it with a 30A fuse and never had another problem. Its been years ago, still works great.

I tried switching the breaker with a fuse and still did it. Just one of those things i guess. If thats my biggest problem with the car ill consider it a compromise. Haha

Its not one of those things. You have a bad electronics module that sits between your switch and the defroster. If you can live without it, that's fine but you can expect it to get worse until it craps out 100%.

I agree with the others saying that this is unusual. I had the EXACT same issue with my 2001 Trans AM. I originally replaced the breaker with a NEW breaker only to have the same results, rear defroster turning off after 5-10 seconds. When I replaced the OEM breaker with a fuse (I keep thinking it's a 10 amp fuse) I haven't had a single problem since then and the rear defroster stays on for WAY longer than needed (~10-15 min., which is probably the normalyOEM time)... I'll check what fuse it is (10 or 30) and report back.
