windshield wipers wont work

windshield wipers wont work ok i cant figure it out my windshield wipers wont come on ive checked the fuses all fuses seem to be fine so i was going to just put a switch in it and have it set on like 3-4 speed at all times any one know what wires i need to use ? for the switch

In item 21-A, there is a picture of the wiper switch connector, which lives at the base of the steering column under the dash. I'd start there, find an electrical diagram, and test the switch. BTW - Its a total PITA to replace as you'll see in the thread.
