Default need help asap

i have no clue what is going on. i just did a motor swap in my 01 z28 with an ls1 with about 60k less miles. ran great for a month and now when i give it gas, it wants to bog down. the 1st time it started happening, i gave it more gas and the check engine light kicked on then went off then kicked on and went off. so i can't check the light because it has not popped on since.

today my nephew got emitted into the hospital and my brother called me and asked me to bring him and his wife jackets and i went to go take him their jackets and not even a mile away from my house it started. speedometer jumping and if i give it to much gas it wanted to cut out. i have no clue what is going on because like i said, it ran fine for a month.

any advice is helpful and appreciated. here is a video if it shows up if not i will post a link too.

video of the gauge

even though the cel isn't on it should still have codes stored in it. I would start by checking the codes. Sounds like maybe a misfire to me which could be cause by a lot of things.

You should be able to see the history codes even though the check engine light is off. I sounds like it is electrical issues check your battery cables make sure there tight and clean. The engine grounds, and there are power leads as well where the engine fuses are. Ernest

Looks like something in the fuel system.

Internet mechanics say it could be a plugged catalytic converter as well.

Do all the needles drop when things go crazy? If so, that could mean low voltage coming from the alternator - that could be related to the bogging.

Also beware of the codes. If you have a sensor, like a dirty MAF, incorrectly commanding to cut fuel, you'll get lean O2 codes - which is a correct condition.

a little update. now i can't even keep the car cranked. it dies when i go to give it gas. i went to drive it to my buddys shop where we did the engine install and it kept cutting off on us. so i parked it at a friends a mile away from my house and picked it up today and did the same thing. i am looking at it now back at my house.

So, it starts fine but dies whenever you press the gas? Can you ease in to it? Is the problem related to RPM only? (Can you accelerate slowly to higher speeds?)

fixed....

the problem was the ground on the back of the head. it came loose and was not making good connection. tightened it down and it is now fixed and running good.
