Default A/C belt broke again. Which pulley is idler? Which do is repack with grease? PIC

A/C belt broke for the 3rd time. I bought a new belt and some wheel bearing grease yesterday. I'm going to try repacking the pulley? Which pulley should I remove? Should I try them all?

Which one in this diagram?

How do they look? They are both plastic, so if they are worn then you might as well replace them. They are both idler pulleys.

well both can give you trouble. also check to see if the tensioner is still pushing on the belt. mine wore out and was causing belt wear

The bottom one is the tensioner, top is what I call the idler. I picked up a new tensioner for around 50, and a metal idler around 25 at local stores. I had an issue earlier this year when I removed the water pump and somehow got it installed a little lower. Had an interference problem with the bottom of the pump and idler pulley. Have you done any work before the belts started breaking?

What vehicle is this on? Do you hear a clicking sound when accelerating sometimes?

It's on a 2000 Camaro SS. The belt/pulley squealed badly before the belt finally broke. It did the same thing last year. I know you're not supposed to do this, but when I spray wd40 on the pulleys, the squealing went away. I'm going to check them both out.

I busted the crap out of my knuckle, but I removed both the top idler and bottom tensioner. Both were dried out so I repacked them with a little grease and snapped the seals back on. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. No more squealing and I think it solved the problem of the breaking belts. Thanks everyone!!
