Tranmission Issue

Hey All,

I have a 00 Lexus and it seems to be giving me trouble. Looks like the automatic gears are not switching from 2nd to 3rd but if I put it in tip-tronic (semi-automatic) shift, I can switch the gears with no problem manually. Would anyone know what the possible issue(s) could be?

It's probably a gas saving measure. When you really get on the gas it probably will.

Sorry no 8 speed wasn't paying attention to the year of your car.
