Best Hubs?
Best Hubs? I need to know what the best front hubs are for fourth gens. I am going to be road racing with 315s on all four corners, I've run into a couple of guys really doing them in (one even lost a wheel) due to the extreme loads placed on them. I was wondering if anyone makes an upgraded model.
The general consensus is that the factory GM hubs that came on your car are the best available.

theres no way to maintain the hubs. the best quality are stock GM. any and all aftermarket, regardless of brand, wont be as good as OEM. a quality aftermarket will typically hold up well with regular street driving, but if you ever do any kind of racing, ie: autox or track, theyll wear out sooner then later. what i usually do is find used GM hubs, clean them up, and use them. even a used OEM hub will last longer then a brand new aftermarket when raced.

Like mentioned above. Get a track set, use them until they wear out, which will probably be a long time. Use the street set when its back on the street. As you probably know, they swap out pretty easily and not too time consuming.
I just replaced my original 1998 factory front hubs....200,000+ miles. They were fine, I was just doing it as preventative maintenance.

My factory one went out on my drivers side at 110k, sounded like brake pads needed to be replaced and then my abs light went on.
I got a new one from pep boys for 89.99, autozones are 129.99.
Not sure if you read the other thread but the ac delco is the same as autozone brand
