Default Some sort of vacuum leak?

Quite often, I come across this hissing sound coming from the HVAC controls. Not sure if it affects anything, or if it's just a minor annoyance.

You'll have to listen closely, but you'll hear it from 0:20-0:25.

It happens whether it is on or off. Sorry the video isn't so clear. I tried getting it as clear as I could. It sounds like a hissing-type sound. It occurs pretty often, usually as I'm accelerating.

There is only one line that effects the HVAC and thats the one in the back of the intake manifold its a small but hard as well as flexible plastic line. I did a intake swap a few years ago, and by mistake pinched it between the head and intake and not only had a vaccume leak, but the HVAC selector stopped working and then I took it off and found the culperate.

Snipped off the damaged part and got some vac line from Autozone and works mint now.

So I would not say its vaccume related, especially if you have never messed around back there.

^ agreed. and you can check it out with the intake on, snake your hand in there and check the lines, just be careful not to force anything or you might break pcv hose or hvac hose. any idle or part throttle problems?
