No, don't leave the key on until the relay clicks. You are trying to determine the problem and by leaving the key forward it might be enough time to energize the ignition relay if that's the issue. I would just try to start it. If it doesn't start, turn the car off and immediately swap relays and try to start it again. If it starts then you can be sure it was the ignition relay.

It was the ignition relay. ltpwr1 wins!!! Replaced that and it has yet to fail starting. Started it like 10 times tonight to be sure and even took it out to fill it up. Thanks for the info guys.I learned a lot about the car and I mastered replacing crankshaft position sensors and starters.
