Default Need a new maf

Could a bad maf not let my car start? If I unplugged it, car fired.
Ses light is on code p0120

If I need a new maf is it really necessary to get acdelco brand?

Thanks!

can someone confirm that this could likely cause the car to stall.

when it stalled last night, the rpm needle was going up and down.
Car also acted like it was starving for fuel.
I confirmed that fuel-pump is good and put a new relay in.

yes as chrysler kid says, you need a new maf.
the M.A.F or Mass Air Flow sensor detects the density (mass) of the air coming into the intake (flow), and it tells the pcm how much fuel to put into the cylinders. If the maf is telling the pcm the wrong reading you will not get the correct air/fuel mixture for combustion. You have already trouble shot it by unplugging it. Time for a new one.
