Default inertia switch or rollover valve

ok, so this isn't LS1-related, but a 1988 GMC C1500.....my dad has told me that if i can fix it, i can have it. he thinks that it's the switch/valve that shuts off the fuel pump in the event the vehicle rolls over, but i'm having trouble finding such a part for this vehicle. it's got the 5.7L V8 engine, if it matters. anyone know where such a replacement part may be lurking?

btw, it's the part that mounts on the firewall in the engine compartment on the passenger's side....not sure if that's called an inertia switch or rollover valve, or what.....

Only the relay & the oil pressure switch power the pump on a 88 TBI truck.

there's definitely something on the truck that is supposed to cut off the fuel in the event it rolls over....my dad has actually laid hands on it himself before.

he says that the plastic piece that holds it to the firewall inside the engine compartment on the passenger's side got broken, and he had to zip-tie it to keep it from causing the engine to die on him.

still have not had a chance to get out there to look at the truck yet....i'll get pictures when i'm able

Up by the blower motor on the fire wall if that's what your talking about? That sounds much more like the fuel pump relay.

ive had a few tbi vehicles and those 3 are not inertia switchs. on an 87 their are 3 maf,maf burn off, and fuel pump relay. ive had the fuel pump relays go out a dozen times. and from what i can remember the only things those cars have to cut fuel from which i was told is the low oil pressure switch in the oil pressure sending unit, which ive neve had the chance to see work with my first 200k mile 91 tbi car idling at <5 psi lol
