how to reset change oil light??

on my 1999 z28, i reseted the ecu..when i turned on the car the change oil light came on, this is a frist time it does this to me, and i did a search, and looked at the stickies with no luck... can somebody tell me what i need to do, for i can clear the light.

To clear the change oil light on most GM cars, turn the key to ACC then pump the gas pedal 3 times.

In the owners manual. Hold the Trip/Reset button in for several seconds until it goes away.

I held down the trip reset button and then turned the ignition key to the "on" position. The light would blink after a few seconds and then turn off.

This. I've done it several times over the years and it works every time.

How to Reset the Oil Change Light

After changing the engine oil, the system must be reset.

1. Turn the ignition key to RUN and with the engine
turned off.

2. Push the TRIP/OIL RESET button located on the
instrument panel for 12 seconds.The OIL CHANGE
light will start to flash to confirm that the system is
reset. The reset is complete when the OIL CHANGE
light goes out.

Hear it is the procedure how to reset oil service light Chevrolet Camaro. If you like to reset any maintenance oil light after an oil change. Or reset check engine light, airbag light, inspection key or insp errors when maint reqd, for Chevrolet cars. Or any warning light for service reminder which appears on the display.
