You can upgrade to a bigger one, I went with a high amp from an aftermarket co. I will give you this advice, stay away from the autozone duralast, I went thru 4 of them in as many months, that lifetime garauntee means youll be replacing them for the rest of your life....

PepBoys....I went through two of theirs in 10 years. Lifetime warranty. Every 5 years is pretty good when it only takes 15 minutes to swap it out...FOR FREE.

And I have zero issues with all my lights on, A/C on, and my 12" woofer kicking.....

Factory output alternator is all thats needed......if they don't work or burn out fast....there's something else going on that needs fixing.

I was gonna get a more powerful one 10 years ago when my factory one went out.....but I couldn't wait and had to get a new one in that day.

The two alternators from PepBoys I've had are perfect......my engine with stereo, A/C and headlights.........perfect charging.

So I figured why bother.......

Thats why I didn't bother...mine is always at 14, no matter how hard its loaded down....even when my amp hits the woofer hard, the needle doesn't budge....I see allot of people with systems where their needle drops every time their amp hits hard.....

I've seen plenty online or on ebay that are rated at 140-160 amps, I heard this was a good range if you needed more?

They look pretty good & are NEW not reman.

I think it comes with a 1 year exchange or something..
but yeah don't go autozone unless you like changing them every few months :p
