OEM dash
I am looking for a dash to replace the current one in my '01 Z28. I bought the car last week and the dash (the long piece that goes between the windshield and the console) has several cracks in it. Does anyone know where I can grab a new one for a decent price? Graham's has them new for $250, which I thought was a little steep.

You can get a new one from gmpartsdirect.com for $183, it is called a crash pad. Other than that there a few in the for sale section of this site and you might try ebay. Most people on this site call it a dash pad by the way, so when you search use those words.

I paid 150 for mine used. What gmpartsdirect doesn't tell you is that it's almost double because of shipping. I thought they were nuts and so did the guy I emailed about it haha.

I just checked it and its $228 shipped to my address in CA. They must have changed their prices on s&h because thats not doubling the total price. $70 new versus used if 85camaroz28 paid $150 shipped, in the end its up to you OP if you want new or used. Some can be found for $100 used. I just wanted to give you an option of buying it new.

I saw the $228 price, too. I'm probably going to go by Graham's and see what they want for a used one. I need a couple of minor parts, and they are relatively close.

Just my .02 cents...I recently bought a new one off of gmpartsdirect and paid the $230 or so shipped as well...the local dealers wanted $300 + tax. Yes, I found used ones in the $100-$150 range, but then I thought "Aren't used ones still basically the same dash piece I have that just haven't cracked yet?" Even if you get one out of an '02, it's still got 10 yrs. of deterioration of some sort and we all know they will crack eventually. After I analyzed it that way, then I really thought new, old stock dash is the way to go. It's been in a box and not exposed to the damaging sunlight and I should get MANY more years out of a new one than even a good condition used one IMO. My new one came in, I installed it in about 30 mins. or less and and I'm happy.
