Two issues...
Car is pretty much stock from what I see other than aftermarket subframe connectors (bolt on) and a strut tower brace. It only has 46k on the car and it's throwing a p0300 randomly but seems to throw it more consistently when the motor is coming down from high revs in gear but it also throws it just cruising on the highway. I replaced all the spark plugs and wires And they all looked pretty good minus the cyl 2 plug and wires looked a little corroded because of the spilt oil over the years from the oil fill. So after doing that and resetting the computer (pulling the fuses while ignition is in the on position) it still randomly throws the code. I'm thinking maybe that cyl 2 coilpack is getting a bad connection? But I would think I would get a p0302 then? Should I pull the injectors and clean them or what?
Second problem is whenever the car is out of gear or clutch is in and I turn left I get a rubbing/clunking sound that's speed orientated not engine rpm. So I drained the rear end fluid and looked at it and seemed clean only a little bit of shavings on the magnet and the gears looked great so I put it back together and filled it up with some ams oil, no additive I read that it doesn't matter and it continued with the noise. I'm think just throw some additive in to see if it helps but Im stumped. I also put it up on jack stands and seems like the wheel bearings are fine there was no play in the wheels.
Thanks for your responses, I am new to the platform and want some possible leads to go with.
