Default !**please help**!

Have having a problem with my 96 caprice for about a year. Ever since i took it to have oil changed, Day after i have been have issues. Runs fine for couple hours and will just die! Try to start it an want's to start but just gasps for air, and goes back to just turning over. Let it sit over night runs like a champ again for a day. hooked a computer to it twice no codes read! with it running an when it dies!
I have repaced to many parts need help!!!
fuel pump
fuel filter
throttle position sencor
crank shaft position sencor
oil line sencor
new wires and plugs
coil
ignition module was good
opti spark distributor an button
all seals and gaskets
I'M LOST!

I see a few views but no replies so I guess I will dive in the deep end. At the time your vehicle dies, I would check spark, fuel pressure and injector pulse.
That hopefully will give you a starting point. If you have no spark and no fuel you might have a loose PCM ground?

maybe check your mass airflow sensor and see if the lil resistors are dirty, or maybe it needs to be replaced...try unplugging the mass airflow sensor and see how it runs, it should run, and use the map sensor as a secondary to metering airflow.

This problem started and then you replaced the fuel pump? In rare case's fuel pump relay gets hot and does not work cools off and works. How about power when it is running, does it run strong? Maybe catalytic coverter plugged? I just took one off my 1999 camaro and there where pieces that could bounced around and stoppped up the outlet! I did not have the same problem but, you never know.

The fact that it happened around a oil change is probably just coincidence. I also second unplugging the maf when it shuts off after being warm.
if that doesn't work, id check that its getting spark. Unplug the spark plugs and check if their lighting up when you crank it over. If so then id figure its the fuel system. Good luck and let us know.

Chase your hoses I had a problem like that from a vacuum leak. Although mine would crank it would die. .25 cent fix. $1000 in parts later.
