Window problem
Window problem I picked up a 30th anniversary trans am almost a year ago and been fixing the previous owners neglect of the car, which included a new motor. Now that fiasco is over with its onto the little things one of which is the window alignment. I have about a 1" gap in the front corner of the drivers window. I tried to correct this with the alignment bolts and such with no luck but noticed the **** sucker who replaced the motors before drilled the wrong ******* rivet causing my problem.
The big rivet with the hole above it is actually enlongated on mine causing the track to move when the window goes up/down. Now I need some ideas on how to this bolt/rivet stationary so I cant close the window gap. My only idea was to put a nut and bolt with big washers on both sides and tighten it down with the power of the incredible hulk.

If its torn up where the motor rivets to the regulator, just replace the regulator and motor together as an assembly using factory rivets and be done with it. Then you can adjust from there. If the rivets that attatch the regulator to the door are torn out, I've seen someone on here rivet a plate onto the door then rivet the regulator to the plate. Same thing happened to the wifes T/A I replaced the door shell and transfered the guts.
