Default cooling system issues

ok so my 02 Trans Am is having troubles getting to operating temps and then overheating. i installed a Prosport coolant temp gauge in the passenger side head to help monitor. the prosport gauge is staying around 140* and will only get to operating temp in city type traffic, which then it gets close to 240-250*. the factory gauge stays right about 160 never reaches 210 unless in the city. never stays at 190-210

i put new heads on a couple months ago and it has been doing it ever since then. i had one leak at the heater hose/waterpump connection which i fixed.

im thinking a possible stuck open t-stat but not sure. thoughts?

FYI its a H/C car. id like to figure this out before we get into more tuning.

thanks in advance!!
Andrew

Looks like your running just fine, factory gauge might not be accurate but its showing you a normal range of temps while driving.

Looks like your Prosport is bad.
