Default Weird Fuel Issue

I have an 02" LS1 Trans Am and went for a drive yesterday...before I left I put gas in the car with no problems. I stopped on the way back as had about 1/8th of a tank to put gas in again and it wouldn't let me....seems it has a vapor lock, or pressure build up as would not take a drop. Every time no matter how I held the fuel nozzle it would burp out every drop I tried to put in...

??

Thanks
Matt

It's usually faulty evap. vent solenoid, which is located above fuel tank in a difficult place to service. I have seen on some other threads that some members are purging or venting air at the service port located under the hood. It is on a plastic line with a green cap that just twists off and then there is a schrader valve, carefully depress valve and pressure should be relieved so you can fill tank. I personally would only do this on a cold engine. I don't know if there is a chance of vapors igniting but I am overly cautious because sh@# always happens to me instead of the other guy.
