Question Which power steering line connector is better?

I put a frame mounted power steering cooler on my car and need to extend the return line from the rack about 4 more inches. Which of these two unions/menders would be the best to use? I've used the first style before but I'm unfamiliar with the second one (push on):

Barbed

Either one should work. It's low pressure. Mine uses all barbed connections.
