car overheating 210+
i have been looking at past post all day and doing everything i can to get my temps down...so far i cleaned out condensor, flushed out the radiator the best i could..it will climb to 210 at idle and if i take it up to 2k rpm and hold it, it will be around 220-225 ....i put in my 160 stat that didnt do anything so i put my 185 back in and still no help
any input on what i should do next? fans are working and while cruising temps are 195
i keep seeing ppl on here saying that there temps are 185 in the summer with AC on...id like to get my car like that cause i no if its overheating while its 50 degrees outside..the summer is going to be bad

im pretty sure fans come on at 225 , they do on most gm cars anyway high speed anyway... and with the ac on, the high speed fan runs all the time which helps with the temp

Your dash is reading a dummy signal from the computer if you have a 99+ which would be why the aero force reads differently
I would check to see if your water pump is working, it could have seized but you just can't tell because it hasn't been hot enough to over heat outside

...any plastic bags or other junk blocking the radiator? ....when the car is COLD, take the radaitor cap off and start the engine to see if you are getting flow from the h2O pump... run the car until the stat opens and it reaches "normal" temps....
