Alternator pigtail question

Alternator pigtail question The plug has 4 receptacles and only one little wire (which broke and i now have to repair). I was looking at replacement pigtails from painless and such and they have the little pink wire and another that looks like it would go to the ground terminal on the alternator. Should i have this other wire as well?
