Well not totally dead, when you first turn it on the speedo goes to 0 and will ride for a few yards then just goes limp. My previous "stock" alternator was making my voltage needle jump everywhere light dim, stall at hard stops sometimes etc etc... So I just installed a 145amp unit, runs amazing... Steady voltage, smooth driving
But now I have the speedo thing, I have yet to do the big 3 which I plan on doing in the next couple weeks, as my current suspicion is a ground issue. My edge cts insight can still read mph so it not like I'll be screwed driving ATM.
What do y'all think, ground issue also?

Update...
So I just did the big 3 with some nice 0 gauge. And the speedo is still on the fritz.
To be more specific, when reversing it seems to read speed, also I saw it work from a stoplight up to about 10ish mph then die out again.
All grounds were cleaned during the big 3 process.
Any ideas?

unplug alt and drive and see if speedo works. if so get a new alt again!!. if not then i would say the low voltage from the previous alt may have damaged your instrument cluster.
